Visting Washington D.C. – First Impressions
This past fall my family and I took a trip to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C.
The city had a certain friendliness to it, a kind of welcoming and warmth. There were plenty of tourists, but never enough to feel crowded. With what tourists there were many were from other countries, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit of pride that they would take such interest in my country’s history.
We spent most of our time in the Mall, walking about the different monuments and memorials.
With too much history to absorb, and always never enough time the city left me wishing to visit it again.
The beauty of this city was truly captivating.
