My Savannah Georgia Adventure
Recently my mom and I decided to take an impromptu trip to the southern city, Savannah Georgia!
The sites and views were absolutely amazing. We spent most of our time by the water watching the boats roll in, snacking on our freshly purchased goodies from the Candy Kitchen, and wearing our new scarfs from the River Street Market while waiting for the ferry to come and whisk us across the river for a better view of River Street.
We only planned to spend one night, which was not nearly long enough. So, naturally, we ended up getting terribly distracted and lost track of the time. Not only that but we had also forgotten that there was a time change. So, when the sun was going down, we were certain that we were still on time for our trip home. Nevertheless, we were not. We finally left Georgia at 7:45 pm. Although we knew it was going to be a long night, we couldn’t help but laugh at the whole spell of the city. We arrived at Starbucks right before close and ordered way too much coffee for any sensible two people, and then started our way home.
Seven and a half hours later, nearly 4 am in the morning, we finally make it back with even more memories made than what was bargained for.
It was a joyous adventure, and I wouldn’t have had it orchestrated any other way.
