Heidi
I have always wanted to make a wrap that had a soft and dreamy feel. To create that look and feel I used fingering and sport weight alpaca based yarns, making the wrap a really light piece. This is the first time I have used Cloudborn yarns, and I was completely surprised at how the quality out did the price. Alpaca is one of my favorite yarns but it usually costs a pretty penny. I decided to try out Cloudborn because I am always looking for another yarn brand that offers natural fibers, and Cloudborn ended up being one of the best yarns I have ever worked with. The yarn is strong, never once broke, held all its beautiful coloring and its oils and softness. The whole project took four skeins of yarn in different yard ranges, each one with a different character and texture to add to the pattern.

Hi Brittany, I would love to knit the HEIDI wrap pattern. My only question is how many skeins or balls of yarn for each color?
Hi Louise,
I used one skein of each of the yarns listed!
Regarding Heidi pattern, it appears that at times I will be purling into a purl stitch. And this will work? It hit me as I am about to start section two which is K1, P1 to the end which will be making a purl stitch into a purl stitch. I noticed at the start of section 3 you knit two rows before starting the pattern; should this be done in between all sections?
Deborah
Hi Deborah,
To give the piece texture in section 2, I used the moss stitch. This stitch pattern alternates between working purls into knits and purls into purls. I have posted the stitch patterns for sections 2, 3, and 4 on my site as well if you would like a better look at the pattern.
You can find the posts here,

As for the start of section 3, I added two knit rows to give a foundation for the column pattern. Because the patterns of section 2 and 3 were so different from each other, I found that section 3 layed better with foundation rows. However, this is not necessary for the rest of the sections.
I hope this helps,
