In my class, Book Binding Basics: Creating a Leather Watercolor Journal, I will be teaching students how to hand-bind a leather watercolor journal, using only the supplies listed below. The class itself is hosted on Skillshare, an online learning community, that I have been using for a few years now.
Some of the links I have provided in this post are affiliate links through which I will receive a small advertising compensation if a purchase is made. However, all opinions are my own and every product I personally recommend.
- Bee Paper Company’s Watercolor Paper
– You can find their watercolor paper on Amazon or at Michael’s.
- Cotton Thread
– I prefer to use a heavier weighted thread, like crochet yarn. However, any cotton thread will do.
- Upholstery Needle
- Aleen’s Tacky Glue
- Craft Scissors
- Leather Cover
- Leather Cord (Optional)
- Ruler (Optional)
