The blueberry season arrived and is now fading away here on the coast of Alabama. It is probably best, considering I have already gathered more berries than I could reasonably use in a year’s time. There is something about harvesting that I find quite satisfying. I planted a couple of blueberry bushes of my own a few years ago, but they are still young. They do offer a nice garden treat, however, with a handful of ripe berries making an appearance every year. I do not believe there are any better tasting berries than the ones that come from my garden. I am partial, no doubt, but it is my truth. Everything seems to taste better when I’ve put in the work towards it.
