A Cardinal’s Silhouette Printable
I took this photograph a couple of years ago on a cloudy winter day. The photograph isn’t truly black and white, it only naturally came out that way. A cardinal flew onto an upper branch of a tree giving himself a natural silhouette against the bright white sky. Struck by the beauty of the bird and I rushed to catch the image. The bird looked so much like art, that I decided to recreate the winter scene with pen and ink. Below I have provided a free download of the art piece.
“Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.” -Rabindranath Tagore
There is much to be learned from a bird. I have always been envious of their freedom and always in need of their wisdom. Birds seem to have a deep trust in nature’s rhythm, letting it guide them through the seasons. How much there would be to explore with such little eyes, how big the world must seem. I should like to live like a bird, traveling to and fro and sleeping in the trees. I think my soul would be content with such a life.
